A showstopper with stunning pink-red blossoms

Bring a splash of color to your landscape with this beautiful hybrid dogwood tree. Its remarkable pink-red blossoms are among the finest in the market, and they create a breathtaking focal point during the blooming season. The well-branched structure is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it also promotes a profusion of flowers, ensuring your yard will be vibrant with springtime joy. As it transitions into fall, you'll be treated to spectacular red foliage, adding even more artistry to your outdoor space.

As a Rutgers hybrid, Rosy Teacups® combines the finest traits of Pacific and Japanese dogwoods, delivering enhanced disease resistance alongside remarkably large bracts. A classic understory tree, dogwoods flourish in partial shade and add grace and vibrant color beneath the canopy of larger trees. In cooler regions, Rosy Teacups® can tolerate more sun, making it an excellent focal point along a driveway or an ornamental feature beside a patio. Attracting pollinators and songbirds, this tree serves as both a visually pleasing and ecologically beneficial addition to your landscape.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Remove the stake and ties at planting, as these are only for shipping. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade and ensure the soil is well-drained. Dig a hole that is twice as wide as the root ball to encourage healthy growth. Place the tree in the hole and backfill with native soil mixed with compost or organic matter (dogwoods prefer rich soil). Spread a 3” layer of mulch three feet around the tree to conserve moisture, help prevent drought stress, and encourage overall health. Water deeply after planting.

2. Watering: Water regularly for the first growing season to establish deep roots. Once established, this tree is fairly drought tolerant but appreciates occasional deep watering during dry spells.

3. Pruning: Light pruning in late winter or early spring helps to maintain shape and remove dead or crossed branches. Avoid heavy pruning, as this may reduce flowering.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer to promote growth. Follow package directions for application rates to avoid over-fertilizing.
