Sweet, striped beefsteaks with standout color

This beefsteak tomato produces large fruits that ripen in warm shades of red and yellow. Its mild, sweet flavor and juicy texture make it a delicious choice for slicing, sandwiches, salads, and fresh summer meals.

The vigorous plant performs best in a sunny garden bed or large patio container. Support it with a sturdy cage or trellis to keep its heavy fruit off the ground and make harvesting easier throughout the season.

About Proven Winners®: Proven Winners® ColorChoice Shrubs offers flowering shrubs, evergreens, and trees that have been tested for eight to ten years to ensure they outperform conventional varieties. That means bigger flowers, more colorful foliage, reblooming, disease resistance, new habits, or anything that makes them more beautiful and easier to grow in your landscape or garden.

Proven Winners® Harvest Mr. Stripey Tomato Bush Pollination

Proven Winners® Harvest Mr. Stripey Tomato Bushs are self-fertile. You will get fruit with only one plant. However, adding an additional Proven Winners® Harvest Mr. Stripey Tomato Bush will drastically increase the size of your crop.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Wait until frost danger has passed and nighttime temperatures remain above 50°F. Choose a location with 6–8 hours of direct sun and well-draining, nutrient-rich soil. Plant deeply, burying part of the stem, and provide a sturdy cage or trellis.

2. Watering: Water deeply and consistently, supplying about 1–2 inches per week. Water at the soil level when the top inch feels dry, and avoid large moisture swings that can cause cracking or blossom-end rot.

3. Pruning: Remove yellowing or damaged lower leaves to improve airflow and reduce soil contact. Lightly thin excess suckers if needed, but avoid heavy pruning that can expose developing fruit to sunscald.

4. Fertilizing: Mix compost into the soil at planting. Once flowers appear, use a fertilizer formulated for tomatoes according to label directions; avoid excessive nitrogen, which encourages leaves at the expense of fruit.
