Compact growth with color-changing fruit
This intriguing hot pepper is fun to grow, producing an abundance of vibrant green fruits that mature through shades of shiny black and luscious red. Its compact, dwarf habit keeps the colorful crop within easy view and makes it well suited to containers, raised beds and sunny garden borders.
The fruit adds bold, changing color throughout the season while providing hot peppers for harvest. Place the plant near a patio or kitchen garden where its ornamental appeal and flavorful crop can be enjoyed up close.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with at least 6 hours of direct sun and fertile, well-drained soil. Plant outdoors after frost danger has passed and nighttime temperatures are consistently warm. Use a container with drainage holes if growing on a patio or balcony.
2. Watering: Water deeply when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy, especially while flowers and fruit are developing. Container-grown plants may need more frequent watering during hot weather.
3. Pruning: Little pruning is required. Remove damaged or yellowing growth as needed, and harvest peppers regularly to encourage continued fruit production. Use gloves when handling hot fruit and avoid touching your eyes or face.
4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer at planting, following label directions. Supplement container plants with a diluted liquid vegetable fertilizer during active growth. Avoid excessive nitrogen, which can promote leaves at the expense of fruit.
