Compact growth with a lively kick
Proven Winners® Proven Winners Harvest Fire Away® Hot and Heavy Dwarf Hot Pepper Bush produces a generous crop of flavorful, hot peppers on a compact plant. It is hot and spicy, but not so hot you’ll need to call the fire department, making the peppers approachable for adding zest to everyday cooking.
Its tidy size fits neatly into sunny garden beds, raised beds, and patio containers. Beyond the harvest, the developing fruit adds seasonal color and interest, making this pepper a practical edible plant with strong ornamental appeal.
About Proven Winners®: Proven Winners® ColorChoice Shrubs offers flowering shrubs, evergreens, and trees that have been tested for eight to ten years to ensure they outperform conventional varieties. That means bigger flowers, more colorful foliage, reblooming, disease resistance, new habits, or anything that makes them more beautiful and easier to grow in your landscape or garden.

Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sun daily. Plant in fertile, well-draining soil after the danger of frost has passed and temperatures remain warm. For containers, use a pot with drainage holes and a quality potting mix.
2. Watering: Water deeply when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep moisture relatively consistent while flowers and peppers are developing, but avoid saturated soil. Container-grown plants may need more frequent watering during hot weather.
3. Pruning: Little pruning is required. Remove damaged or yellowing leaves as needed, and harvest peppers regularly to encourage continued production. Avoid heavy pruning, which can reduce the crop.
4. Fertilizing: Feed at planting with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer, then follow label directions throughout the growing season. Avoid excessive nitrogen, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of flowers and peppers.
