Compact growth with orange, heart-shaped fruit

Proven Winners® Goodhearted® Orange Dwarf Cherry Tomato Bush produces sweet, orange, heart-shaped cherry tomatoes on a tidy, compact plant. Its manageable size makes it a practical choice for sunny patios, balconies, raised beds, and small vegetable gardens.

The colorful fruit is easy to harvest and well suited for snacking, salads, and fresh summer dishes. Along with a useful crop, the dense green foliage and bright tomatoes add cheerful color to edible landscapes and container plantings.

About Proven Winners®: Proven Winners® ColorChoice Shrubs offers flowering shrubs, evergreens, and trees that have been tested for eight to ten years to ensure they outperform conventional varieties. That means bigger flowers, more colorful foliage, reblooming, disease resistance, new habits, or anything that makes them more beautiful and easier to grow in your landscape or garden.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location receiving at least 6–8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Plant in rich, well-drained soil or a roomy container with drainage holes, setting the plant slightly deeper than it was growing in its original pot. Plant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed.

2. Watering: Water deeply whenever the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep moisture consistent, especially while fruit is developing, but do not leave the roots in soggy soil. Container-grown plants may need more frequent watering during hot weather.

3. Pruning: Little pruning is needed due to its naturally compact habit. Remove yellowing or damaged leaves and keep foliage from resting on the soil. Avoid heavy pruning or removing many suckers, as this can reduce the harvest.

4. Fertilizing: Mix compost or a balanced, slow-release fertilizer into the soil at planting. Once flowering begins, feed with a fertilizer formulated for tomatoes according to label directions. Avoid excess nitrogen, which can encourage leafy growth at the expense of fruit production.
