Year-round deep green color
Planet Earth™ Arborvitae is a medium-sized evergreen shrub with vibrant, deep green foliage. Tiny, scale-like leaves densely cover its branches, creating a full, lush appearance that remains attractive throughout the year—even in the heart of winter.
Its consistent color and substantial form make it a useful choice for foundation plantings, evergreen borders, screens, or as a landscape accent. It adds reliable structure and a welcome pop of green when many other plants are dormant.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and about twice as wide, then plant with the top of the root ball level with the surrounding ground.
2. Watering: Water deeply after planting and regularly during the first growing season. Once established, water during extended hot or dry periods, keeping the soil evenly moist but not soggy.
3. Pruning: Prune lightly in late winter or early spring to shape the shrub or remove damaged growth. Avoid cutting back into old, bare wood, as new growth may be slow to return.
4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release evergreen fertilizer in early spring if growth is weak or the soil lacks nutrients. Follow label directions and avoid overfertilizing.
