Long-lasting purple color and repeat blooms
Perpetual Purple™ Meadow Sage produces vibrant purple flower spikes, backed by rich purple calyces that keep the color going for weeks after the petals fall. Its upright, compact habit adds structure and dependable color to borders, pathways, and mixed perennial beds.
This reblooming perennial benefits from trimming after each major flower flush, encouraging fresh blooms throughout the season. It is also pollinator friendly, attracting bees, butterflies, and other beneficial visitors while requiring little maintenance once established.
About Bloomin’ Easy®: Bloomin’ Easy® makes it easier to create an outdoor space you love. Our collection of flowering shrubs and perennials is chosen for standout colour and garden-friendly qualities like compact growth, long-lasting blooms, and easy care. Whether you’re planting your first garden or adding something new, Bloomin’ Easy helps you spend less time worrying about your plants and more time enjoying them. Plant. Water. Relax.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location in full sun with well-drained soil. Space it where air can circulate freely, and plant with the crown level with the surrounding soil.
2. Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and regularly during the first growing season. Once established, water when the top few inches of soil are dry, avoiding consistently soggy conditions.
3. Pruning: Remove spent flower spikes after each flush to encourage reblooming. Cut back old growth in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
4. Fertilizing: Apply a light layer of compost or a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring. Avoid overfertilizing, which can cause soft growth and fewer flowers.
