Lush, low-maintenance greenery for indoor spaces
Janet Craig Dracaena Bush features dense clusters of glossy, deep green leaves that bring color and texture to homes and offices. Its upright, compact growth fits easily into corners, entryways, and other spaces where a dependable interior plant is needed.
This low-maintenance houseplant adapts well to typical indoor conditions and tolerates lower light, though bright, indirect light encourages fuller growth. It also helps soften rooms with natural greenery without requiring frequent attention.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Place in a container with drainage holes using a loose, well-draining indoor potting mix. Choose a location with low to bright indirect light, away from harsh direct sun and cold drafts.
2. Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry, then let excess water drain completely. Avoid leaving the pot in standing water. Filtered or distilled water can help prevent brown leaf tips caused by mineral buildup.
3. Pruning: Remove yellow or damaged leaves as needed. If the plant becomes too tall, cut the canes back in spring or summer to encourage fresh growth below the cut.
4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength about once a month during spring and summer. Reduce or stop feeding in fall and winter when growth slows.
