Colorful blooms that welcome pollinators

Confetti Lantana Shrub produces clusters of colorful, showy flowers that blend shades of yellow, pink, and orange. The blooms attract hummingbirds and butterflies, bringing movement and interest to garden beds, borders, and containers from warm weather into fall.

This low-maintenance shrub thrives in sunny, well-drained locations and becomes drought tolerant once established. Its mounded growth and long bloom season make it a practical choice for adding dependable color to hot, dry areas of the landscape. In Zones 9–11, lantana is a perennial or small evergreen shrub. In Zones 2–8, lantana is used as an easy-care annual for continuous blooms until frost.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with full sun and well-drained soil. Dig a hole about twice as wide as the root ball and no deeper, then backfill and water thoroughly. In colder regions, grow it as an annual or overwinter it indoors.

2. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season while roots establish. Once established, water when the top few inches of soil feel dry; avoid consistently soggy conditions.

3. Pruning: Prune in early spring to remove damaged growth and maintain a compact shape. Light trimming during the growing season can encourage branching and additional blooms.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring. Avoid overfertilizing, which may produce more foliage at the expense of flowers.
