Select a spot where the tree receives full to partial sun (4–8 hours of sunlight per day). Dig a hole 2–3 times wider than the root ball and the same depth. Place the tree in the planting hole with the top of the root ball level with the surrounding soil. Backfill with soil, watering as you fill to eliminate air pockets. Finish backfilling, water thoroughly, then apply mulch around the base to help retain moisture and suppress weeds, keeping mulch a few inches away from the trunk.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e2.
