The Santa Rosa only requires 300 chill hours so it will produce plums well even in southern climates. This plum tree is self fertile only requiring one tree to produce plums, making it even better for the small home orchard. More established plum trees will require one annual application of the same balanced formula mid-April. Use 8 ounces for every year of the tree’s age.
